A 32-year-old man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a man gunned down in the driveway of a home in Southeast Memphis earlier this month, police said.

Tommy Kenny Jr. has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Ronald Lewis.

Around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 14, police found Lewis, 34, with several gunshot wounds in the 4000 block of New Willow Road. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said the shooting stemmed from an altercation between the two men earlier that night. Witnesses told investigators that Kenny retaliated and shot and killed Lewis, according to the arrest affidavit.

Kenny was booked in the Shelby County Jail Saturday.
