A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a man during an argument at a Raleigh apartment Tuesday night.

Johnathan Morris has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Courtney Anthony.

Police responded to the shooting shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 3500 block of Westline Drive at the Hilldale apartments.

Officers found Anthony lying in the front door of an apartment. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said Morris was on the scene and told officers that he shot Anthony with an AR-15 after the two got into an argument, according to an arrest affidavit. Morris did not say in the affidavit why the two argued.

Morris was arrested and remains in jail on no bond. He will be in court Thursday.
