Man dies after shooting at Frayser store

A man has died after he was shot outside a convenience store in Frayser last weekend.

Police responded to the shooting at the Smart Mart at 4284 Overton Crossing last Saturday.

A man was found unresponsive and taken to the Regional Medical Center in critical condition. He died Tuesday at the hospital.

Police said the preliminary investigation showed that the victim got into an argument with three men. One of the men shot the victim and the suspects fled in a dark-colored vehicle.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, said police spokesman Louis Brownlee.

The name and age of the man killed has not been released by police.
