Person found shot to death in a vehicle in Whitehaven

A person was found shot to death in a vehicle in Whitehaven Friday night, according to Memphis Police.

Officers responded at 11:20 p.m. to a call in the 500 block of Harahan. A resident told police he heard a crash, went outside and found a vehicle had crashed into his iron fence. 

A person, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, was still inside the vehicle. The person was pronounced dead on the scene.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. The homicide is the 112th in Memphis this year.
