This latest incident happened a little after 8 p.m. at a location in the 2100 block of Frayser Boulevard. Responding officers found two men with bullet wounds. One was hospitalized in noncritical condition; the other was pronounced dead on the scene. Police have one person detained, but it's unknown if that person was involved in the shooting.

That follows a double homicide Monday afternoon in the 2800 block of Coach in the Raleigh area. Two people were found shot to death there. Police have charged Jerry Pointer, 35, with two counts of murder in the deaths of the man and woman. They have not been identified yet.

Police are also still waiting on the cause of death of a man found near the Loflin Yard area south of Downtown late last week, which could be ruled a homicide pending autopsy results.
