1 dead, 1 injured in Memphis shooting

Memphis police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in a vehicle in North Memphis and another man was found with a gunshot wound at a nearby home.

Police responded to a shooting call shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday at Alaska Street and Brown Avenue in North Memphis.

A man, whose name and age have not been released by police, was found dead in a vehicle.

Another man was found in a nearby home in the 900 block of Speed Street with a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.

Police said the investigation is ongoing in the shooting and did not provide any further details. No arrests have been made.
