Memphis police investigate city's 21st homicide of 2017

Memphis police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man in a Whitehaven convenience store Monday.

Officers arrived at the T&A Market in the 4200 block of Eastwind Drive at 10:47 a.m. to find the victim lying on his back suffering from several gunshot wounds, police said. He was transported in extremely critical condition to Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

No arrests have been made.

The victim, whose identity was not available, is the city's 21st homicide of 2017.
