The big new Memphis-area Ikea store was evacuated Friday because of an anonymous bomb threat, police said, but no bomb was found.

The person who alerted police said they'd received an anonymous call saying there was a time bomb in the building, police spokesman Louis C. Brownlee wrote in an email. The call came in shortly after 1:30 p.m. Police spokeswoman Lt. Karen Rudolph later said no bomb was located.

The home furnishings store opened in December on the south side of Interstate 40, west of Germantown Parkway.
