Boys basketball

Sky Forrest, Lausanne: Last year's state-tournament MVP in Division II-A is off to another strong start. The 6-5 junior scored 27 points, going 6 of 9 from 3-point range, as the Lynx improved to 2-0 with a 70-53 win over Memphis Nighthawks on Tuesday.

Girls basketball

Kira Lowery, Southwind: Lowery turned in three great all-around games for the Jaguars, starting with 26 points, nine assists and six steals in a win over Craigmont. She then had 21, eight and seven against Mitchell before totaling 21, three and six against Briarcrest.

Wrestling

Jack Lewis, Arlington: The senior had a strong tournament against top-notch competition at the Cleveland duals, winning all five of his matches (four by pin) while wrestling at both 195 and 220.

Bowling

Lauren Davis, St. Mary's: After leading the Turkeys to an impressive 16-11 victory over perennial area power St. Agnes, Davis averaged 194 in a 24-3 victory over Lausanne.
