Man shot, killed in South Memphis

A man was shot and killed in his car in South Memphis early Saturday morning, according to police.

At about midnight, officers responded to reports of a man down on Belz Boulevard at Latham Street.

Memphis police reported finding a 32-year-old man who had been shot several times and was unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the man was in his car, a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, when he was shot.

Police have not made an arrest and the investigation is ongoing. The man's name was not released.
