Federal authorities are working with Olive Branch police to determine who stole nearly 70 guns and ammunition from a semi-truck trailer overnight Sunday.

Police reported Monday that 67 firearms -- all but six of them handguns -- were taken from the trailer after it was broken into sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday.

Nearly 70 firearms are taken from truck in Olive Branch.

According to police, the truck was scheduled to make a delivery to Academy Sports in Olive Branch. The truck arrived at the store about 10 p.m. Sunday and parked overnight. When the driver prepared to unload about 6 a.m. Monday, store employees noticed that the seal on the trailer had been cut and the trailer apparently broken into.

It's unclear how much ammunition was taken along with the guns.
