Car wash shooting leaves a man dead

Police are investigating a Sunday night shooting outside a Whitehaven car wash that killed a man. 

The victim was identified as Frank Douglas, age 36, said Memphis Police spokesman Officer Louis Brownlee.

Douglas had been brought by private vehicle to Methodist South Hospital after a shooting near Chism Express Car Wash at 1614 E. Shelby Drive. 

A witness and the victim were washing their cars when unseen people fired several shots, Brownlee wrote. Douglas was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

No one has been arrested, Brownlee wrote.
