Memphis police ID 7 recent homicide victims

Memphis police have released the names of 7 men killed in separate homicides recently, including a man who was fatally shot four months after his son was also killed.

Adarrell Anderson Sr., 45, was found shot to death in the driver's seat of a 1998 Lincoln on May 27 on Walnut Street and Polk Avenue.

On January 13th, his son and namesake, Adarrell Anderson Jr. 23, was also killed when he was shot outside the Grizzly Mart in Southwest Memphis.

Police arrested a man in Adarrell Anderson Jr.'s slaying, but have not made an arrest in his father's fatal shooting.

Anderson Sr.'s name and the identities of the other six men recently killed was released by the City of Memphis and Memphis police after The Commercial Appeal submitted a public information request for an up-to-date list of the 2017 homicides.

The other victims killed were:

May 3: Olin Douglass, 39, shot and killed in a vehicle on Mosby and Dunlap near the Medical District. No arrests made in his death.
May 3: Rodney Starks, 31, shot and killed on Waldran and Meriweather near the Medical District. No arrests made in his death.
May 7: Shawn Hill, 36, police said he died from a fentanyl overdose June 9, 2016 in the 1600 block of Hunters Bluff in East Memphis. His death was ruled a homicide. Police charged Courtney Dean.
May 18: Roger Mayes, 47, found dead in a field on Dison and Person. No arrests made in his death.
May 26: Rodreiquous Lucas, 33, shot and killed in the 4500 block of Misty Moor Lane. Police charged Rashard Fair. Fair and the victim were both members of  901Xtreme motorcycle club.
May 27: William Malone, 48, died after police said he was run over by his ex-girlfriend in the 4900 block of South Haven. Police charged Nickole Macon.
