Memphis saw two more homicides on Sunday, sending the count to 102 in 2017.

In a report by Karen Rudolph, public information officer for Memphis Police Department, officers responded to two 'man down' calls Sunday .

At 4:10 p.m. officers found an unresponsive male victim suffering from a stab wound in the Richland neighborhood. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Five hours later, officers received a call from a woman who reported a wreck between her and another vehicle in Barron Heights. Officers found a male victim inside the vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Regional One where he later died.

Both cases are ongoing with no arrests.

This time last year, the city had recorded 115 homicides , according to Rudolph. The city had a record 228 homicides in 2016.
