1 dead in shooting in Memphis medical district

Memphis police are investigating a fatal overnight shooting in the medical center district.

Shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday police responded to a shooting call in the 300 block of N. Manassas.

A man, whose name and age have not been released by police, was pronounced dead on the scene from a gunshot wound.

One person was detained but no charges have been filed yet in the shooting.
