One dead, one wounded in separate Memphis shootings

One man is dead, another critically wounded as a result of separate shootings in Memphis late Sunday or early Monday, police said.

The first shooting was reported about 10 p.m. in the 2500 block of Parkview in Raleigh. Officers found the victim, who was reported dead at the scene.

Police said they had no information on any suspects.

The second incident occurred around midnight, when officers responded to a shooting in the 3900 block of Elvis Presley in Whitehaven. The victim was transported to Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said the suspect is known, but not in custody.
