FedEx will hold a job fair 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday as part of a push to hire 800 workers at the Memphis world hub.

The ramp at the FedEx Hub at Memphis International Airport bustles with activity Oct. 18, 2016.

The job fair will be held at 2874 Business Park Drive, Building D, on the north side of the FedEx Express hub at Memphis International Airport.

It’s at least the fourth job fair held this year to hire permanent, part-time workers for the hub. The most recent was June 17.

Pay starts at $12.62 an hour, with 17.5 hours a week guaranteed. Available benefits include medical coverage, with premiums starting at $5 a month, and tuition assistance.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, U.S. residents for five years and able to lift 75 pounds, among other requirements. There is no minimum educational requirement, but applicants are subject to criminal background check and drug screen.

The hub runs day and night, with workers unloading, sorting and loading packages from about 250 flights a day.
