Police investigate fatal shooting of Memphis woman

Police are searching for information in the fatal shooting of a woman in North Memphis Sunday afternoon.

Officers responded to the shooting shortly before 2:30 p.m. at a home in the 1400 block of Decatur off Firestone Boulevard.

The woman was taken to the Regional Medical Center where she later died, police said.

MPD posted information about the homicide on Twitter Sunday. 

No arrests have been made and no further information has been released by police.
