Man found shot to death inside car in Raleigh

Memphis police are investigating a shooting in the Raleigh area Wednesday morning after a man was found dead inside a car.

Memphis police investigate a shooting on Keystone Avenue in Raleigh Wednesday morning, Oct. 4, 2017 after a man was found shot to death in a car.

Police were called to the 3300 block of Keystone Avenue around 4:44 a.m. 

Around 7:30 a.m. Investigators were still on the scene. Officers were searching a small white two-door car parked in front of a home on Keystone.

Police cars blocked off streets near Keystone and Old Allen which is near Keystone Elementary School. 

Parents dropping and walking their children to school said they were surprised about the shooting because the area is usually quiet. 

Neighbor David Pruett said they were awakened by four gunshots. 

"It worries me because kids go to school here and it is sad to see all this happening," said Pruett who has lived in the neighborhood for about a year. 

No further details were immediately available. No arrests have been made.
