The Memphis Police Department has released photos of a suspect vehicle in the case of 28-year-old Deandre Johnson, who was fatally shot Sunday evening at a car wash on Poplar Avenue in Midtown.

Police released this image of a suspect vehicle in the fatal shooting of Deandre Johnson.

The pictures show a white SUV, possibly a GMC Yukon or Chevrolet Suburban with possible 2006 model year.

The police department wrote on Facebook that this SUV was seen at the car wash, that the suspect was inside, and that the suspect targeted Johnson and shot him numerous times before the SUV left.

No arrests have been made, the police department said. Anyone with information is asked to call 528-CASH.

The police department had previously said officers responded about 6:30 p.m. Sunday to The Car Wash at 1585 Poplar and found Johnson wounded.

Johnson was transported in critical condition to the Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, police spokeswoman Lt. Karen Rudolph wrote in a statement.

"Investigators believe that the suspect responsible for this homicide may be known to the victim," Rudolph wrote.

The car wash where the shooting happened is near the intersection with North Avalon and a short distance from the shopping center anchored by a Home Depot store.
