The victim of a slaying discovered Wednesday in Whitehaven has been identified as Carla Moore, and a man described as her boyfriend has been charged with killing her.

According to an arrest affidavit, Moore was found unresponsive in the home in the 600 block of E. Shelby Drive that she shared with her boyfriend, Anthony D. Harris. She was later pronounced dead at Regional One Hospital.

Anthony D. Harris is charged with second-degree murder in the slaying of Carla Moore.

Harris was taken to the homicide office, was advised of his rights, and gave investigators a typed statement saying they had a physical fight and he shot her several times, the arrest affidavit said. He also showed investigators the location of the gun he used, according to the affidavit.

Harris, 24, faces a charge of second-degree murder. His arraignment is scheduled for Friday, according to online court records.
