A man has been charged with vehicular homicide and driving under the influence after a fatal head-on crash early Sunday morning left one victim dead.
Jose Rodriguez, 24, was also charged with reckless driving, public intoxication, driving without a license and without insurance.
The victim was 32-year-old Christopher Terrell.
According to a tweet from Memphis police, officers responded to the wreck at Interstate 40 west of Covington Pike at about 2:44 a.m.
Investigators said Rodriguez was in a Chevrolet Suburban driving west in an eastbound lane of Interstate 40 when he hit Terrell, who was driving a Chrysler 200, a midsize sedan.
